Grace showed up this week in all her glory.
Dressed up in her Sunday best.
So beautiful. Extravagant grace.
So blinding in her radiant countenance.
What joy in her arrival, in her graceful entrance in the day.
Staying true to her name, always gentle, always tender.
Thank you for coming and for bringing Mercy too.
Grateful beyond words for the gift of encouragement in the moments scattered through the week.
Seventeen year old struggles get a covering of His most amazing grace in breakthrough moments of growing up.
The sting of early week words are replaced by sweet I love you mommas.
The hurt of pushing away and hurried quiet are replaced by laughter and thank you.
The pain of strain in relationship gives way to restored love.
And Grace washes over a mother’s heart.
This grace is a life giver and a restorer of Faith.
She is amazing.
And she covered the four rolling wheels of an old white truck as it rolled from place to place. Grace, going before and along side the slippery wet rain soden roads. Protecting the decisions of seventeen year old hands and heart on the steering wheel.
And you brought laughter among school boys, school friends. Fellowship and relationship. There for a mother’s eyes and heart to witness. Long awaited friendships.
Lord, thank you for Amazing Grace.
2 Corinthians 13:14 – the Message
