From Me To Me– Words For Me {And Maybe For You}

Dear Me:

Psalm 36:5 says “God’s love is meteoric, his loyalty astronomic,”

Jude 1:2: “Relax, everything’s going to be all right; rest, everything’s coming together; open your hearts, love is on the way!

1 Corinthians 13:7: Love “Puts up with anything, Trusts God always, Always looks for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end.”

Me ( with all content lovingly from God via The Message)

Why Seeking The Silent And Simple Soothe The Soul

simple soothes with her less and her love

quietly providing the just enough

she raises up the now and crowns her as glorious

all the eye needs to see is framed by her sweet fingers

all the ear needs to hear is spoken by her soft breathe

all fragrance rests in the still and the calm and lingers for inhale

grace and gratitude flow  in her presence

and the present is just as it should be

a restful place for the soul

Message In A Bottle And Other Places

I love a sweet story.

Heck, I  just love story and stories. Stories allow us to peek into places and people and amazingly woven lives.  Lives lived out colored in hope.  Drawn in love.  Painted with wonder.

But I especially love tucked away stories that have a tender sweet hiddeness to them.

The ones that call you  to look a little deeper, seek a little longer, and go a little further with the eyes of your heart. To see the good, the miracle, the Grace.

Do you have one.  I’d love to hear a piece of it.  A part of it.  Or all of it.

Because stories encourage and stir us and point us toward hope.

The hope of the what’s to come.  The hope of God’s hand in our tomorrow and our today.

I love the creative ways of God.  And how he finds us ,speaks to us in and through our circumstances, through our families, and through the lives around us.

And just like a message in a bottle, sometimes they are tucked away a little bit.

Precious girl of mine was asked to walk on the beach.  And there buried in the sand was a message in a Coke bottle asking her to go to the prom.  A man after my own heart, tucking away a little bit.  Creating a stumble upon moment to pop this little milestone question.  Creating a moment of discovery and surprise.  And allowing a sweet moment of joy.  Simple sweet joy.

So I am heading out to look for the sweet simple joy today.

And I’m bending my ear to hear His stories of Grace.  Your stories of Grace.

And to look for buried messages of His love.  And the messages of His love which are out in plain view.

I asked for two groups to pray for me.  And I see God moving already in that area.

Thank you my friends.  Thank you my God.

Your messages wrapped in Love are Gift.

You offer us Hope.  Bring us Hope.  Show us Hope.  Deliver Hope. Your message, your word is clear, so clear.  Thank you for sending us Hope.  By the cross and through your Son.

May we see all that you have for us this day.

Wishing His Grace,

The Dance

I am stuck between wanting to be still and needing to move.  This may be an oddly unique position I find myself in.

Its like a spiritual hokey pokey.  I put my left foot in and take my left foot out.  I put my right foot in and I shake it all about.  I do the hokey pokey and then I do it all again.  And that’s what its all about.

Well not really.  But with the beginning of Lent I am more reflective about moving and being still.  Not just still as in frozen, bump on a log, but still before God in a listening and hearing type of still.

My laundry is piling up and I need to take action.  But can I be still while I’m folding.  Be still before him with hands moving.  Can I blend the stillness and the activity. Like the perfect hollandaise, blended to perfection with the tart of the lemon added to the smooth creamy yellow sauce. Will I be still and listen to what he needs to ,wants to speak to my heart. His dashes of salt are always perfect.

Reflecting on this piece — ARABIA TIME

Apart from man, alone with God

Resting in the arms of God

Abiding in the love of God

Brought to our knees by the mercy of God

Intent on seeking the will of God

Awakened by the will of God

Trusting in the truth of the gospel as the voice of God

Impacted mightily by the forgiveness of God

Meditating on the power of God

Embracing the divine will of God

We are all discussing what we are going to add and subtract in this family, in our home. I am not good at math and as the cruise director with the clipboard of the family how will I keep up.  Wait, I think that is God’s deal not mine.  So back to my addition and subtraction during Lent.  Expectantly adding a couples bible study to my week.  Very expectant.  And adding walking.  And this is where I will seek and listen and abide and meditate and rest and reflect and abide away from man.  My furry children and I will walk. Hearts open, eyes open, and listening for that still small voice.  Or there may need to be a message delivered via a megaphone.  I don’t know but I’ll seek to hear it all.

I am humbled by this blog and I will be seeking HIM as I write during these next forty days.  It is with great humility that I say thank you for reading and choosing to come to these pages. Your comments are gifts and your time spent here is precious to me.  Feel free to share with friends if you see anything worth passing on.

My furry children and I will take some good walking pictures on the beach and all around our walking paths.

Wishing His Grace and His Peace,
