Sometimes the dull, dropped, dark dank, leaves of fall
Lie broken under foot,
Busted like dry bones crackle.
The path through canopy of trees,
The wood’s own trail of life
Seems paved with aged confetti,
Strewn from spring’s gay party on the path.
The leaves the same, the framing changed.
It is both and it is nature’s way,
A cycle of seasons
Under foot and heavenward
And all around.
The woods tell stories, whispered
Stories. Listen and
Be still sweet soul,
In all and know that He is
While you wonder,
While you wander,
And while you still sit
In weathered chair, of life,
Be still sweet one

Amen!! Great word. Hope your Sunday is a blessed one!
The universal solitary chair that we all seek, set before HIM. Lovely!

Hoping your Sunday has been splendid and still. Many blessings to you my friend. You fill me up with sweet joy.
This poem was like honey. The words sticky on my tongue, lingering. Just gorgeous.
Oh friend, kind, so kind. Hope your Sunday was full of the still and the knowing Him.
Be still … why is something so simple, so hard? Regardless, I’m thankful for this beautifully written reminder.
Oh kind one, thank you for encouraging me. I more than anyone need to hear this OFTEN. so, so often.
Friend, how I love this truth — be still whether still or moving. In all seasons, in all things be still. Bless you, Elizabeth.
Yes being still in our spirit when are bodies are actually moving, that is a sweet challenge. To rest in Him when we feel as if we are restless in our spirit, a challenge too. But He brings rest to the weary soul. He is a restorative amazing GOD. To Him be al glory.
Gave me some good peace this morning:)
So so glad. Thank you Lord. Peace is important in this sometimes crazy always wonderful life.
